Dear St. Patrick’s Family,
Every Advent we are called to prepare. We are called to prepare first for the celebration of the Incarnation at Christmas. We are also called to prepare for Christ’s return in glory. This dual focus reminds us that God has moved mightily in history and He will move mightily in the future. In this way Advent is leading us toward a celebration of what God has done and calling us to the anticipation of what God will do.
During this season our parish embarks on its Annual Pledge Campaign. This enables the staff and vestry to budget and plan for the coming year. In my last letter, I asked that you pray and consider how you might financially support St. Patrick’s in the coming year. My hope is that all our members, as they are led by God, would be a part of this pledge drive. The pledge is not a contract but simply an indication of what you intend to give to St. Patrick’s during 2026.
I would ask that as we continue through Advent that you would continue to pray about your 2026 pledge and how, through your financial support of the parish you may “honor the Lord.” (Proverbs 3:9). After Christmas, at the Epiphany (January 6) we celebrate the arrival of the Magi who brought their gifts to Jesus. Likewise, at Epiphany we all will bring our pledge cards to church and present them to Christ. It’s a powerful moment as we lay our treasures at His feet. You’ll find your card enclosed.
Surely the Lord has moved in our Parish and I am confident that he will continue to do so as we seek to be faithful witnesses to his Gospel here and across the world.
Thank you for your commitment to Christ and to His Church,

The Very Rev. Chris Findley
